For those of you who may feel as if we're a bit harsh...

Cut and paste this:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070827/ap_on_he_me/obesity_rankings

Coincidence that this is on yahoo's front page today?

You all must also know that this in no way reflects how we see or feel about those we love, but is more a comment on the fact that the article-link I've inserted above must be written at all.

And since we needed to go to the party dressed as "Americans"; we couldn't just show up as, well, ourselves!

Actually my friend and I were just discussing this subject a couple of days ago. And Dave and I talk about it quite frequently too. The fact that Many americans are obese and How we are trying so hard to instill in the girls to excercise and eat right so that we don't become "fat". Hailey will even tell you just how imp. it is to run and stay in shape. Thanks for the pics none the less. It was very nice to see you guys, even in all your "fatness" We love you dearly and can't wait to see you!

"For those of you who may feel as if we're a bit harsh..." ...for the record...that's not me! We continue to work out three times a week. I even threw in a couple of "example American lean specimens" on my recent blog. What I am concerned about is what appears to be a RAT hanging by its tail in the Chicken Ranch shirt picture! What's with that???

TVoR is hungry!
VERY hungry.

...actually I was just reading an article online about this, too:

http://www.nysun.com/article/57654

A piece:

"Last year, McDonald's sales in France grew by 8%, almost doubling its growth in American sales, which have also rebounded in recent years. Every 12 months, one out of two French people visit McDonald's at least once. Annually, they consume 22 million McDonald's salads, 60,000 tons of French fries, 32,000 tons of beef patties, 12,000 tons of chicken, and 600 million buns."

And, from one of my favorite movies:

Vincent: You know what they call a quarter pounder with cheese in France?

Jules: They don't call it a quarter pounder with cheese?

Vincent: No man they have the metric system over there, they wouldn't know what the **** a quarter pounder is.

Jules: ok so what do they call it?

Vincent: A Royale with Cheese.

Just lookin' to stir the pot, so to speak. I really enjoyed the pictures!

We here in the colonies need to learn to laugh at ourselves, but we're not alone in that regard...

OK, OK, OK!! My turn. I was looking thru some of our pics from France and found one taken on the day we went to the Eiffel tower. When you see it you'll wonder how I could have forgotten it. I'll chalk it up to one of those traumatic times when your mind just blanks out horrible images. I'll see if Dad can scan it and put it on the blog. Mom :)
